In September 1981, almost thirty years ago, St. Timothy School (STS) opened its doors to its first class of students. Since then the dedicated staff at STS has been providing high quality, Catholic-centered education to students, efforts that have led to the Department of Education recognizing STS to receive the prestigious Blue Ribbon School Award.
Now it is time to celebrate as a community our fabulous school! An extraordinary 30th Anniversary Gala is being planned, at the beautiful Hyatt Hotel in Fair Lakes, Virginia. Come and celebrate at An Evening in Black and Gold with our St. Timothy family on March 5, 2011. Our celebration has a dual purpose – to gather parents, faculty and staff to celebrate and to raise money for the latest technology for our students.
THE GALA EVENING
The celebration will begin with a cocktail hour (open bar during this time) with enticing hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment. There will be a silent auction throughout the cocktail hour, filled with fabulous auction items in all categories and prices. And please be sure to review the always-beautiful class baskets and fantastic teacher offerings!
After cocktails, we will enjoy an elegant sit down dinner, with your choice of entrée! We will finish with a scrumptious dessert and tea and coffee.
The thrill of the live auction will be yours after dinner as we offer many fascinating and unique items for you (or with a group of friends) to bid on.
Be certain to stay after the live auction to enjoy an evening of dancing with a live band.
An Evening in Black and Gold promises to be a marvelous evening filled with fellowship, fun and fantastic food and auction items.

DONATING & SOLICITING AUCTION ITEMS
To make An Evening in Black and Gold a great success we need your help this summer soliciting auction items. Please consider what you yourself may have to donate (sports tickets, beach house, etc). We welcome signed sports jerseys, concert tickets, the latest electronics, hotel stays, restaurant gift cards, home items, services, etc. All your kind donations help bring in money for our school.
We also need your help by soliciting auction items from local businesses, places at your favorite vacation spot or from your business or social contacts. The forms you need are Gala Donation Agreement Form and Donation Request Cover letter.
Please tell all donors that their name and location will be listed in a monthly auction newsletter to go home to all school families. The sooner they donate, the more newsletters they will be listed in!
