Mrs. Gott, 7B
Mrs. Gott has been teaching Spanish at St. Timothy Catholic School since 2004. She has Virginia Catholic Educators Association Certification with a Foreign Language Endorsement. Her education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Mary Washington College, a Master’s degree in Spanish from George Mason University, and ENL (English as a New Language) Licensure from the University of Notre Dame. Her academic interests include Sociolinguistics, Etymology and TPR (Total Physical Response) methods of teaching foreign language. On completion of the 8th grade, over 80% of Mrs. Gott’s students test into Spanish High School Level II.
As a devoted member of St. Timothy Parish, Mrs. Gott is a committed Adorer, a certified Catechist, and has taught CCD for 16 years in the parish. She is the Holy Childhood Association Mission Coordinator for the school, as well as director of the Jr. High annual participation in the March for Life.
