Fifth Grade Teachers
Fifth grade students at St. Timothy are assigned to a homeroom, 5A or 5B. They attend all classes, including specials, with the students in their class. The homeroom teachers teach the core subjects of Math, Language Arts and Religion to their homeroom classes. Ms. Bielaski teaches Science and Mrs. Hunter teaches Social Studies to both classes. All other subjects (Spanish, PE, Technology, Music, Library and Art) are taught by teachers specializing in those subject areas.
Students have the option to bring a packed lunch to school or to order lunch through the STS Cafeteria. Fifth graders also have the opportunity to enjoy a packed snack in their classrooms during the day. Both fifth grade classrooms are nut-free.
Students will receive a planner to help them organize upcoming events and assignments. The best way to reach Mrs. Hunter and Ms. Bielaski is through email, by phone, or through a scheduled conference. Classrooom news and announcements are posted on their teacher pages.
Methods of school-wide communication include Friday Update emails, Teacher Page updates, and our Principal’s Tuesday Tidbit emails. Emergency and last minute announcements may occur via our school messaging system which allows school-wide announcements from the principal via email and phone call. Please ensure that your contacts are up to date to receive these notifications!
St. Timothy School follows the curriculum of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington. Curriculum guidelines are available on the Office of Catholic Schools’ website.
