Mrs. Patricia Cowan

 

Mrs. Patricia Cowan has been teaching in the Arlington Diocese since 1993.  Mrs. Cowan taught 12 years as a technology teacher at St. Louis School in Alexandria and since 2005 at St. Timothy as the Social Studies, Religion, and Language Arts teacher for junior high/middle school. In 2013 Mrs. Cowan returned to teaching technology to the students and maintaining the programs used by the school and office staff. She also serves as one of the co-advisors for the National Junior Honor Society.

Prior to beginning her teaching career, Mrs. Cowan served 10 years in the United States Navy as a computer systems and applications programmer working on CDC and Honeywell computing systems. Upon resigning her commission, Mrs. Cowan continued programming computer systems for private industry.

Mrs. Cowan holds a BA in Political Science and Russian Studies from Notre Dame College of St. John’s University in Queens, NY; a certificate in Instructional Technology from the University of Virginia; and a MEd in Educational Administration from Marymount University in Arlington.
