Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books

A diocesan-wide competition for interested 5th and 6th grade students. Students read from a list of 16 books in a variety of genres. Five students and two alternates will be chosen to compete in a Jeopardy style competition in May. Beginning each January, interested 5th grade students meet during recess with Mrs. Tierney and Mrs. Brooks-Kenney to discuss the books they have read and learn how to compete. Sixth grade students may select Battle of the Books as their third quarter elective.
