At Saint Timothy, we pray it is known to all who enter that Christ is the reason for our school. Our Catholic faith is at the forefront of all that we do.
Take a look at just a few examples below!
School Mass and Confession
Our school community attends Mass together each Friday. Students participate in the Mass as readers and cantors.
Eucharistic Procession
Each week, our parish priests process the Blessed Sacrament to our school for Adoration. Students are able to visit with our Lord alongside their teachers and classmates.
Adoration
Every Tuesday, Eucharistic Adoration takes place in our school. Students are able to visit with our Lord alongside their teachers and classmates.
Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary
Our courtyard is home to Mary’s Grotto, where Our Lady is crowned each May. Middle school students visit the Basilica in D.C. each year and elementary students lead a school-wide Living Rosary.
Service to Others
Our community participates in a monthly food drive to support the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Through the Catholic Outreach Program, middle school students travel to Woodstock, VA to assist those in need.
All Saints Day Parade
The Saints Parade is a special tradition for second grade students during this sacramental year. They dress up as a saint that they have researched and travel the school to share what they learned!
March for Life
Each year, 7th and 8th grade students travel into Washington to attend this pro-life rally. Students design bumper magnets and t-shirts leading up to the January event. They also host a baby shower fundraiser to support the Tepeyac Family Center.
Visit from the Bishop
Bishop Burbidge visits Saint Timothy Catholic School! On this special day, he celebrates our school Mass and visits classrooms to pray and speak with our students.
Commitment to Prayer
Prayer is how we begin and end each day- and fill many of the moments in between. Students lead the daily prayers in our cafeteria and down the Prayer Hall.
Celebrating the Liturgical Calendar
At Saint Timothy, we honor special Feast Days, attend Mass on Holy Days, give and grow during the Lenten season, celebrate the birth of our Savior and rejoice in His resurrection- together.
