Liz Hernandez, Director of Resource
Mrs. Hernandez joined the St. Timothy Catholic School faculty in 2014 as the Director of Resource. Prior to that, she spent seven years as a Special Education teacher in a public high school, where she worked with students with a variety of learning and behavioral challenges. She has experience in both self-contained and inclusive classrooms and has taught English, Social Studies, and Basic Skills classes. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Hernandez spent time both in educational and arts-related positions in both the private and public sectors. She holds a B.A. in Art History from John Carroll University, an M.A. in Art History from Wayne State University, and an M.Ed in Special Education from George Mason University. She holds a Virginia teaching license for grades K-12 with ED/LD Certification. Mrs. Hernandez is a parishioner at St. Timothy and a proud parent of two sons at STS. Her goal is to build confidence and self-advocacy skills in her students and to help develop the strengths each child possesses.
