Dear Saint Timothy Catholic School Faith Community,
“Preach the Gospel at all times. When necessary, use words”. The words of St. Francis of Assisi bring us into our new academic year. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to emulate His actions here on Earth, and ultimately bring with us as many people as possible along with us to Heaven. As parents, husbands, and wives, we have an obligation to equip our children (or spouse) with the tools that they need to get to Heaven. What an awesome, yet equally intimidating responsibility. What better way to follow Christ than with our actions. There have not been many saints that were known as being overly verbose in nature, yet they’ve all obtained the Beatific Vision and live with Him in His glory.
If our actions are just and holy, we are likely to live a virtuous life that will earn us the only reward needed on this Earth, but on the off-chance we need to do a little fast-talking to help lift up our fellow man, then we at Saint Timothy are happy to also equip your children with the right words to be able to speak to the goodness that is Jesus Christ and His church.
Our students are talented, bright, hard-working, typically motivated (yes, I know), and usually looking to impress those around them. The opportunity to showcase those things all at once are not always possible in a school setting, but when these opportunities do arise, the kids are often not as confident as they could be, which is generally due to their lack of experience or knowledge on how to best put those talents on display. This school year and beyond, we intend to have a deliberate focus on how our students present themselves. Be on the lookout for updates from school throughout the year on how we can work together to help our kids be the most positive and compelling representation of themselves and our faith.
